Rare birds like the Ward’s Trogon, Beautiful Nuthatch, Rufous-necked Hornbill, and Satyr Tragopan can be spotted within minutes from the lodge, making it a prime destination for avid bird enthusiasts.

At night, Yongkhola comes alive with diverse wildlife. Insects and moths gather by the lodge, while the Brown Wood Owl is easily spotted nearby. Night spotting may reveal mammals, including big cats, and the Bhutan Giant Flying Squirrel is frequently seen, offering thrilling nocturnal encounters for visitors.
